Welcome back one more week to this blog where I take you to my journey through the   CXL Growth Marketing Minidegree . One more week has passed and here we are again, ready to more experiences, If you want to understand all the way till this point i recommend you to take a look to my previous post about this course where you can see my progress and everything going on during the previous weeks: Week 6: A Transitional week This week has been the week that I had less time to dedicate to the course, so that’s reflected in my learnings and also in how engaged I feel with it.   Week 5 of the cxl Institute Growth Hacking nanodegree. https://cxl.com/institute/certificate/cxl-growth-marketing/ About this series On 25rd May, 2020 I was lucky enough to gain a scholarship to the CXL Institute’s CRO Minidegree program for 12 weeks. At the end of last week, I started the course about Statistics fundamentals for testing. I have to admit that I wasn’t big math and statistics fan back in uni, so this was quite a challenge. That’s why it covers the statistical concepts that you need to extract outcomes out of your A/B tests easily. Sampling: Population, Param...

This is critical for copywriting, understanding friction, learning what matters to them about the products you sell, and so on. Conversions are all about relevancy – if what you offer and how you present it matches their state of mind, you have gained a customer. If your customer is “everybody”, you’re making it extremely difficult for yourself – nobody will identify with “everybody”. Whom to survey Survey people who still freshly remember their purchase and the friction they experienced in the buying process. Only talk to your recent first-time customers (who have no previous relationship or experience with you that might affect their responses). You want to filter out repeat buyers or people who bought a long time ago. If you a...
